Senior Scientist Program | Overview

The Senior Scientist program was established to foster and support cutting edge research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of orphan diseases. The Senior Scientist Awards were distributed to internationally acclaimed researchers at Boston Children's Hospital who have made a commitment to research a diverse array of orphan diseases. The funds supply unrestricted and flexible support to allow the Senior Scientists to develop new areas of research and expertise that will lead to important advances in our understanding of both rare and more common diseases.

Senior Faculty awardees were chosen from the ranks of Children's principle investigators all of whom hold faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School. Each has well-established research programs of particular relevance to the goals of The Manton Center for Orphan Disease Research.
