Recognized NCQA Patient-Centered Specialty Practice

The Cardiovascular Program of Boston Children’s Health Physicians (BCHP) has more than 30 years of experience providing cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment for children of all ages, from the prenatal period through young adulthood. As the major cardiac care center and major trauma center in the Hudson Valley, we offer the latest advances in all aspects of pediatric cardiology and pre/post cardiac surgery.

With 10 convenient locations, our patients can receive treatment and follow-up care close to home. As the only advanced cardiovascular imaging program in the Hudson Valley, we provide our patients access to the latest MRI and CT scanning technology without having to travel to the city.

We see patients as quickly as possible, typically within 24 to 48 hours after receiving a call for an appointment. All initial testing can be done right in our office, with the results being shared during that visit.

Our care philosophy

Our goal is to provide high-level care in a way that is sensitive to the needs of our pediatric patients. We treat children as if they're our own, offering care and comfort throughout each visit.

Parents play an important role in our decision-making process. We believe in patient-centered care and communication with parents at all times. We are committed to helping families understand their children’s health issues and treatment options so they can make the most informed decisions for their future.

What makes us unique?

Access to top specialists in cardiac care. Our physicians bring more than 30 years of experience in pediatric cardiac care. They serve as full-time faculty at New York Medical College and are responsible for the pediatric cardiovascular programs as medical staff of the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. These experienced physicians conduct daily visits and oversee care for each child in our cardiac care unit in the hospital.

Top-ranked cardiac program. We are part of the Boston Children’s Hospital integrated network of care locations and partnerships. This means that in addition to our team, your family has access to leading cardiac care specialists at one of the top-ranking pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

A diverse team of experts. Our pediatric cardiologists work with a dedicated team of pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, pediatric cardiac anesthesia experts, cardiovascular nurse specialists, and our technical staff to deliver comprehensive care.

Continuity of care. We understand the importance of receiving care from the same provider at each appointment. Whenever possible, your child will see the same doctor in our practice for every visit and, should the need ever arise, in the hospital as well.

We also coordinate care and share information with any other providers your child may see, including their primary care provider, to ensure everyone involved in your child’s care is working seamlessly with one another.

Our innovation and research. Our pediatric cardiology team has pioneered the use of treatments for a wide range of children’s cardiovascular issues. We continue to develop new strategies to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions in children of all ages. Some examples include our Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center (in collaboration with our adult cardiology colleagues), the use of 3D echocardiography, and the use of advanced electrophysiology procedures in young children.
