Carolyn Babeu | Professional History

Carolyn grew up in the Greater Boston area, and is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Emerson College. During graduate school, Carolyn completed several internships ranging from working within general education and specialized school settings, to a pediatric private practice, then interning here at Boston Children’s Hospital. For her thesis, she led a research study investigating the impact of a joint book reading parent training program designed for parents of children with hearing loss, which was later published in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She completed her post graduate clinical fellowship at a private practice working with children with speech, language, and feeding disorders. She joined the Feeding and Swallowing Program at BCH in February 2020. She has clinical experience working with a diverse population, providing diagnostic clinical feeding evaluations, modified barium swallow studies, as well as conducting weekly and intensive feeding therapy. She recently joined the multidisciplinary Aerodigestive Center at BCH. She is dedicated to providing patients with dysphagia and their families with comprehensive, individualistic care and treatment.
