About voice banking

Voice banking is a process that allows someone to create a synthetic voice that ideally sounds like your natural voice. It is achieved by recording a large number of messages when your voice is clear. The number of messages required varies depending upon the voice banking service used.

The completed collection of recordings is used to create a synthetic voice. When that synthetic voice is integrated with communication software, it allows someone to type any message of any length and have it speak out in a customized synthetic voice that sounds like you vs. a generic synthetic voice.

There are a number of different voice banking services.

The video below demonstrates three different voice banking technologies. Prior to each voice banked message being spoken, the person speaks the message to allow the listener to compare natural speech and synthetic speech for each sample.
