Department of Cardiology NIH-funded T32 Training Program

“Research Methods in Pediatric Cardiology," continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health since 1984, is the Department of Cardiology’s research training program. The program’s goal is to train the next generation of researchers in pediatric cardiology and its allied fields of cardiac and vascular biology. It supports training of postdoctoral (MD, PhD, and MD-PhD) fellows and spans the breadth of basic, translational, and clinical research in vascular biology and cardiac biology. Based at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, the program’s faculty includes leaders in these fields, including: William Pu, Jane Newburger, Jon and Christine Seidman, Rob Gerszten, Anthony Rosenzweig, Calum MacRae, Timothy Hla, Joyce Bischoff, Geoff and Caroline Burns, Da-Zhi Wang, Kaifu Chen, Kit Parker, Lynn Sleeper, and Sarah de Ferranti.

The program is committed to developing the next generation of researchers in cardiovascular biology. It is committed to a diverse biomedical workforce, including groups traditionally underrepresented in biomedical research.

Applications

We accept applications on a rolling basis. Slots become available intermittently, and when available we will select from among the most qualified applicants. Applicants should be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants should email their CV and cover letter. The cover letter should indicate their prospective mentor from our training program and additional factors such as membership in an under-represented group.
