What is TytoCare?

Currently, Tytocare is available in select clinics at Boston Children’s. Tytocare is currently offered through the Home Parenteral Nutrition Program, Complex Care Services, the Aerodigestive Center, and Growth and Nutrition Program at Boston Children’s.

TytoCare is an FDA-approved medical device that allows you and your child to carry out certain physical exams from home with the guidance of your Boston Children’s Hospital clinician.

With TytoCare, you can send your at-home exam directly to your child’s clinician or capture it in real time during a virtual visit. The TytoCare device allows you to capture high-quality recordings of the heart and lungs, as well as high-quality digital images and videos of the ears, throat, and skin. You can also measure heart rate and body temperature through a TytoCare device.

Using the information you collect, your child’s clinician can then provide you with a diagnosis, treatment plan, and prescription if needed.
