Karen Thompson | Professional History

Ms. Thompson is a speech-language pathologist at Boston Children’s Hospital. She conducts evaluations in the Voice and Velopharyngeal Dysfunction Clinics and the Cleft Lip and Palate Program, and she provides voice therapy for patients with voice disorders. Ms. Thompson’s background includes training in music and the singing voice, giving her an interest in working with young musicians in voice therapy.

I endeavor to be empathic, collaborative, and thoughtful in all areas of care. It is important to me that both children and parents feel heard and respected in all interactions. I strongly believe that goals and recommendations need to be functional, realistic, and developed together.
