Michiko Oyoshi Laboratory | Overview

Oyoshi laboratory’s current research interests are focused on two major areas: the role of maternal factors transferred to babies through breast milk in inducing oral tolerance in children and the mechanisms of eosinophil recruitment to esophagus driven by allergic skin sensitization. Our ultimate aim is to promote understanding of the disease mechanisms that lead to the development of better prevention and treatment to combat the recent escalation in the prevalence of allergies.
