Glenn is a Research Data Abstractor/Coordinator here in the CHIP-NLP (Children’s Hospital Informatics Program-Natural Language Processing) group. The data abstractor records (abstracts) relevant human disease (pathology), anatomical location, and related information from medical records. Coordinating his findings among other researchers at Children’s and facilities across the country, Glenn’s work is part of the foundation of advanced software engineering being developed at here at CHIP-NLP.

Glenn started at Boston Children’s Hospital in October, 2010 with experience as a medical coder; assigning disease and procedure codes for medical billing. Glenn has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Virginia Military Institute and served in the U.S. Army. Glenn is a Certified Coding Associate and a member of the American Association of Health Information.
