Newborn Medicine | Admission Information

• Applicant must be an entering sophomore, junior, or senior of college. Students must be currently enrolled at a university.
• Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher supported by an unofficial transcript.
• Students who have already participated in the program are not eligible.
• Citizens and permanent residents of the United States may be eligible for National Institutes of Health funding.

  • letter of recommendation (to be submitted by recommender via a separate REDCap link to be sent to them on submission of your application)
  • personal statement sharing your background, research experience and what you hope to achieve during this program (500 words)
  • an unofficial transcript stating a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): three-page limit

• The program compensates students at an hourly rate determined by their level of education. Students are expected to work for eight weeks, 35 hours per week.
• Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation and housing.

• The Summer Student Research Program does not offer visa sponsorship. International applicants can still apply if they have a visa that would allow them to participate in a paid internship in the U.S. An applicant who is in the U.S. on an F-1 student visa would be eligible to apply.

• Students are selected by the directors based on an assessment of each student's application, research interests, and mentor availability.
